Stouffer makes house calls to fix your lawnmowers, snow blowers and anything that has a small engine. “We are the only shop like this around. I focus on making the customer experience a top priority and by fixing their equipment right in their driveway… it makes it easy and seamless for them,” Stouffer said.

“I was born and raised here, and I saw no reason to leave. The picturesque views I get to see being mobile are breathtaking. And the people! The people of this community have been such a blessing. People here are eager to support small businesses.”

Startup Alleghenies coach Blake Fleegle has been working alongside Stouffer for years. “Blake has been great to work with and has helped take us to the next level. He helped us find our building and funding, he has given us business advice and helped me learn QuickBooks,” Stouffer said.

When he was 13, he was spending his time ripping up an old 1970s cub cadet tractor—tinkering with the engine and rebuilding it piece by piece. With a grease smeared face, Stouffer was in love. “That really ignited a passion, and I started wrenching on everything I could get my hands on,” Stouffer said.

When Stouffer loaded his first service truck, he wasn’t expecting the success he is seeing today. “My first mobile truck was an old, beat-up Ford Ranger and I put a basic set of tools in a small plastic tote. And now we have a massive service truck to keep up with the demand. I never expected it to take off like wildfire, but it did,” he said.

While he has seen success beyond his imagination, Stouffer wants to remain true to his mom-and-pop roots. “I am an old soul. There is nothing quite like the one-on-one interactions I get to have with my customers. I never want to lose that. We will never be so big that people aren’t getting that quality interaction. It is one of our driving forces and always will be,” he said.

Stouffer said that the Alleghenies has been the ideal place for his business. “I was born and raised here, and I saw no reason to leave. Giving back to the community is next on Stouffer’s list. “We are in the planning phase of starting a mower donation program. If someone has a mower they want to get rid of, even if it doesn’t work, they can drop it off at our shop or we will pick it up, we will fix it and give it back to someone who needs it. I envision veterans, low- or fixed-income families, those who are in a tight spot and can’t afford to go buy one,” he shared.
