Realty ONE Group Landmark ready to flourish in Somerset

 In Entrepreneurship

The Alleghenies: How did your business get started? What motivated and inspired you?
Renee Eash: It just made sense for us to take the leap! I had been licensed for about 6 years, and Lee 12, so when the opportunity to start our Realty ONE franchise in Uptown Somerset arose, we jumped on it! Our motivation came from our love of helping educate home buyers, sellers, and other licensed agents. It is a great deal of fun to guide property transactions–no two are the same!

The Alleghenies: What gave you the confidence to turn your idea into a business?

Renee: We had started 2023 with the New Year’s resolution to start a business–we just didn’t know what that was going to be! I had fallen in love with the idea of owning a mini golf course and we started to put that plan in motion; however, life and a colleague had other plans. After a meeting with Tyler Thompson, our current broker, we had a new outlook for the year, a more definite path. Lee and I both knew and loved real estate and wanted to make our mark on town. What better way than to open on the diamond and participate in local events?

The Alleghenies: What makes the Alleghenies region and your local community/county a great place for your business?

Renee: The Alleghenies region, and more specifically, Somerset, is a great place for Realty ONE Group, Landmark to flourish! As avid members of our community through committees and programs such as Somerset, INC., we have a deep appreciation for how fortunate we are. This community loves to up other people and businesses—that’s what Somerset is all about, I am still amazed by how many local business owners offered up their input, experience, and support from our initial announcement and how many people stopped by during Light Up Night or the Cookie Tour just to check out the space!

The Alleghenies: How has your Startup Alleghenies coach helped you?

Renee: Matt Reckner has been a huge supporter of our journey! Before we opened, Matt had popped in a few times to see if there was any expertise he could lend and to see how he could help get the word out. He has also helped in connecting us with other resources.

The Alleghenies: Why would you recommend Startup Alleghenies to other startups or emerging companies?

Renee: I would recommend Startup Alleghenies because it provides a centralized hub for all local companies- from technology to presentation. Also, your coach can introduce you to other cohesive connections.

The Alleghenies: Offer a little plug for your business.
Renee: We are experienced agents, providing our clients with modern service!
