Huntingdon offers all-local, customizable gift boxes this season
Giving a gift to someone in Huntingdon County? Giving a local, personalized and thought-filled gift just got easier.
Huntingdon County Business & Industry, Inc. is teaming up with local businesses to offer Huntingdon for the Holidays — gift boxes filled with gifts and experiences from around the county.
The gift boxes are priced at $25, $50 and $100, and will be customized for each recipient based on answers provided from a questionnaire. The value of each box surpasses the cost of purchase.
Boxes include a variety of local goods that may include:
- Holiday t-shirts
- Candles, lotions and bath bombs
- Wine and spirits
- Chocolate
- Jewelry
- Ornaments
- Ground Beef
- Wing Sauces & BBQ Rubs
- Coffee
- Gift cards to local restaurants, shops, and attractions
- And much more!
“I purchased a $50 box last year,” Huntingdon resident Kelly Culp said. “My intention was to give it as a gift, however, true to my personal nature…. I peeked in the box first. There were multiple things in the box that I wanted for myself. So, I ended up splitting up the contents. Some for gifts and some for ME. The value of the box was way over the price I paid, and I was introduced to some businesses in our area that I didn’t realize were out there. I learned my lesson; this year I will also get one for myself!”
Stephene Zitzler also purchased boxes last year. “I bought a box for my secret Santa from work, the babysitter, friends, and my husband. I love that they included all local goodies to support the small businesses around town. I will definitely be taking advantage of the boxes again this year to make my shopping a breeze.”
The Huntingdon for the Holidays boxes will be available starting on Saturday Nov. 26th at www.hcbi.com.
