You are invited: upcoming entrepreneur enrichment workshops will fuel growth, networking

 In Entrepreneurship, Events, Resources

Beginning in May, Startup Alleghenies will be hosting a FREE five-county workshop series where entrepreneurs can learn from experts, network with like-minded business owners and enjoy a great evening of free refreshments. The Entrepreneur Enrichment Series features one workshop in each county of the Alleghenies — Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Huntingdon & Fulton, Somerset — and focuses on key ways to be even better at what you do.

“In working with entrepreneurs, we kept hearing a common thread — ‘Am I qualified to grow this company? What’s next for my business? I know where my business needs to go, but am not sure how to get it there,” Tasha Adams, Marketing/Outreach Specialist at Johnstown Area Regional Industries (JARI) said. “This series speaks to those questions and aims to build confidence to grow themselves and their companies.”

Each event will begin with a session with an industry expert from 4-6 PM, which is followed by a mixer and refreshments from 6-7:30 PM.

“Meeting with other entrepreneurs is a huge part of this series,” Startup Alleghenies coach Blake Fleegle said. “Starting and growing a business can be lonely work, and networking with peers and learning from each other will be very beneficial.”

The first workshop will take place May 16 at Coal Country Brewing at 2343 Benjamin Franklin Highway, Ebensburg in Cambria County.

Creative Coach Azriel Weaver will present “Visualizing where you are and where you want to be,” and Vision Partying (which got its start thanks to Startup Alleghenies) will lead a vision boarding session.

After the workshop, free refreshments will include house-made beer and sodas, beer mac and cheese, sliders, a pretzel platter and more.
